The real problem here is that he just won't shut up and listen to me.
He was questioning something that I'd written, my interpretation of what I was seeing, but he wasn't being clear about what it was that he was actually saying. I couldn't get him to say exactly what it was that he was getting at, despite his belief that he was being perfectly straightforward. Every time I would ask a question to try to clarify, he would interrupt me before I could get to the actual question, and reword his previous answer. I eventually had to call him directly on what he was doing, that we were both getting frustrated because he kept interrupting and wouldn't let me get the question out.
Of course, at that point we cleared up the confusion, but he's still completely erroneous in what he's thinking, and I've got the journal articles to show it. But it's borderline impossible to argue with him, because of the aforementioned interruptions, and completely impossible when the other hippo hacker is joining in with him, even when I know I'm right.
I'm gonna be so glad to get the fuck out of here.
In other news, God stopped the bullet,
in the bloody watermelon, after it had already passed through one of your great grandkids? WTF? This is a perfect example of the unthinkingly
Panglossian religious twits thanking God for something that is manifestly bad.
If your all-powerful, all-benevolent god could stop that bullet with a bloody watermelon, why couldn't he have done it with the car door, before it hit the kid? Given that the bullet lodged in the watermelon being held on the other kid's lap, it probably wasn't in danger of intersecting with anyone else in the car. Meaning it had already done all the life-imperiling damage it was going to do, and you're calling that the act of a merciful deity?
It didn't even have some silver-lining, life-affirming effect on the kid. The old twit even said herself, "It took away her innocence. You know, she trusted everybody. Now she trusts nothing and nobody."
Please, lady, hurry up and die already, so you don't keep spewing this ridiculous blather.
