On this Eve before the Inaguration, I find that I can not sleep.

Tomorrow I will be catching the VRE from Fredericksburg to Union Station, a journey to our Nation's capital to be a part of a historic day.

I am so excited!!!

I just watched the HBO footage of the concert from yesterday. I made the trip in with my friend Greg, and I'm so glad he convinced me to go!

The concert was amazing and the list of performers and stars I got to see is unbelievable: Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Tom Hanks, Tiger Woods, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Jon Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow, Shakira, Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), Garth Brooks, Cal Penn, Jack Black, Steve Carrell, Ashley Judd, Herbie Hancock, John Legend, Josh Groban, Jamie Foxx, Denzil Washington, Samuel L. Jackson and of course Joe Biden and Barack Obama!

Being a part of the historic concert at the Lincoln Memorial made me feel extremely proud to be an American, and I can't tell you how many times I got goose bumps.

It was certainly an amazing day!

After the concert, we checked out the WWII Memorial, went to Potbelly for a yummy sandwich, and found a cool sports bar to watch the Steelers game: Penn Quarter Tavern. The place has been open since 1820. Wow!

The Steelers making to the Super Bowl was just the icing on the cake! The day went so smoothly. Unfortunatley, i was so worn out, I had to take MLK day off too, but oh well. Soooo totally worth it!

Tomorrow, the Inauguration. I am so proud to be an American!
