A lot of my job is formalising peoples' work processes - generally taking their dodgy Excel spreadsheets that have been worked on by 20 people over 5 years, and turning them into a formalised database-based system - this gives them scalability, reliability etc. Along the way I come across some truly retarded Excel formulas ( Read more... )

We know (because they've told us) that those customers completely ignore all of his recommendations because it would put them out of business within one year.

I think I know what you're working on. I better bring chocolate home with me tonight.

Bringing beer home as well/instead would cement your place as Most Awesome Girlfriend Of All Time against all challengers. Not that there are any. But just in case - you know, buttressing. Fortifying your position like a bunch of sexually ambiguous city-dwellers facing an army of semi-naked Greeks armed with enough wood to build a large horse.

What's a good combination of beer and chocolate?
(I'm partial to dark chocolate and red wine myself)

Sadly, there is no good combination of beer and chocolate.

Perhaps a very dark ale and a dark chocolate, but I hold little hope.

Also. I can't actually read this, but do they need to define the range of x better? Won't Y always be 0 or 1 and never 2 or 3?
