Tuesday was Hamlet day so we stayed in town shopping--
Okay let's cut to chase. I knew we had good seats but these were GREAT seats. Several times David was THERE. But I digress. The set was minimalist with interesting staging. The cast was exceptional. Patrick Stewart made a wonderful Claudius, a good counterpoint to David.
David was excellent. He was a little frenetc, physical, and compelling. I was quite engrossed. And his proximity to us at times didn't hurt either. He's better looking in person, tall, but surprisingly not as skinny as on TV. I saw no bones on this man. Squeee! Steph and I bolted for the stage door and just barely got to the front. Alas he did not come out.
