Here's another go at yesterday's recap.
It dawned even lovely and warmer. Elsa craved exercise, so we walked into a town to the bakery, roughly a 3.6 mile trek uphill and down dale. This was an excellent opportunity to see more of Chester.
On the road
A field next to a place called Three Dog Night. Unfortunately neither the band no dogs were in anywhere in sight.
Can't get enough of those bucolic creeks
A sign to the the bakery. There was another just past this saying "You just missed the bakery. Go back."
Outside the bakery
I've never seen fox glove before
Steph, Elsa and Trina outside the bakery
Steph pointed out a suspended footbridge
What village walk would be complete without a stroll through the local cemetery. The 18th century tombstones had the most interesting detailed epitaphs.
Here is one of the newer monuments built in memorial to young wife who died in childbirth.
Don't BLINK!
I was so relieved we were still close to civilization
After some relaxation back at the house, it was time for Steph's celebration. The menu included perfectly grilled steaks, salad and baked potato. Elsa prepared a kick ass cheesecake with strawberry sauce. It disappeared in a blink. My camera had difficulty focusing on Steph but I thought the cake turned out well.
The birthday cheesecake
Steph squeed in delight in anticipation of her wedges of cheese, a mini washing machine, a 10 speed double vibrator with from TenDoc, an auto-snogger from DT, opening her prezzies.
The birthday girl was pleased and much fun was had by all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINSIE!
