Merry Christmas Eve!
After fleeing work yesterday, I managed to get some cleaning down and a little nap. My cousin Maggie came over to exchange prezzies (that we won't open until tomorrow). My budding Christmas spirit had almost evaporated but we managed to resurrect it by having dinner at Marshal Fields Macy's famous Walnut Room. The huge Christmas tree was Macy's variety (blech). I'm sure the food was just as good (it was the same menu) but you know me. I dined on lobster bisque, casear salad, poinsetta (cranberry and champagne), and cranberry apple bread pudding with a giant scoop of vanila ice cream. Now, the dessert was delicious! We looked at the windows (Mary Poppins) which I pronounced terribly subpar (it wasn't even animated!) Typical cheap Macy's.
We took our snobby selves over to City Hall to see the tree which I tried to snap with my cell phone. Will try to upload later. The plan was to walk home but I'd spritzed myself with too much perfume, causing a mild asthma attack. Doh! We talked a bit until I nearly feel asleep, then parted with much holiday cheer.
Today, I need to finish wrapping prezzies. Going over to my brother's house tonight (his wife's family does Christmas on Christmas Eve). Lance is excited. Anyway, if I don't blog again before tomorrow, Merry Christmas all!
