i spent all day playing with a child's wooden train set.
and no, i was not high last night. nor was i on anything.
everyone needs to get to feeling better. i went to the library today because my mom was going somewhere really boring nearby and she was going to make me come with her. i got to look at a very large stack of art books about cool people like picasso and some other foreign poeple i had never heard of before the whole time, and it was nice, because i have been wanting to do that for a long time. unfortunately, i was sitting next to a VERY loud black couple pouring over books on how to save your marriage. at first i was a bit peeved about their loudness, but i saw what kind of books they were looking at and i felt really bad about being mad about them being loud. if they're trying to save their marriage thing, good for them. they seemed to be getting along really well while they were there, and this is noteworthy because the amount of angry glares being sent their way would have had me a-shakin in my boots, and too much to talk about anything as important as my marriage. so yeah. yay for them. and then were was a slightly creepy old man who stared at me for an uncomfortably long time. i tried to look tough or osmething remotely resembling that, so he wouldn't think i was going to get scared of him or anything. but i was. because he looked like he was the big bad wolf, or the wicked witch in hansel and gretel (what fabulous names)...fattening me up to eat. or trying to eat me. whichever you prefer.
so there you have it, my day. extraordinary, isn't it?
isn't it odd that extraordinary is spelled extra-ordinary, which one owuld assume to mean very normal, when it means very unique, special, and anything but ordinary?
