Unfortunately, it isn't a happy one for everyone. I got word this morning that like two or three people (one of whom is in the choir I am in) have died in the last two days. I might not have been a good friend to any of them, but the one in choir, I definitely had a connection to as he was often singing the same part (bass) as I was. Being in a leader-type position in relation to the guy, I am getting a better understanding of what it feels like to lose support, someone you knew you could count on, someone you knew would be there. They might not have been the best singer or anything, but they were always there, you never had to worry about him not showing up. The weirdest part is I got a chance to help him out a week or two ago. I got to know him a little better and he was no longer the older guy in the choir. He became a person. It is amazing how different your view of someone becomes if you just take the time to put down your defenses and really take time to get to know someone.
My heart goes out to the families that have experienced loss this Christmas season.
On another note --- what is up with the weather?!?! Been up in the 70's for about 3 weeks now, and now we are supposed to be seeing snow by Thursday morning!?!? LOL!! It will be even funnier if it really DOES snow!
