Superheroes

So, back from Captain America in 3D... it was a good comic book movie but if I have to pick a recent Marvel hero movie as the best it would have to be Iron Man. Thor was good, just like Capt. America was but I could rewatch Iron Man dozens of times and still enjoy it. The Avengers teaser was fantastic and I am so looking forward to 2012. But the 3D ( Read more... )

Ya know I've seen those clips as well. I have to say at least it was something, no matter how crappy it was or how bad the costume was or wasn't, at least Wonderwoman had something. There are tons and tons more characters who don't get anything outside of the comics.

Granted, it's not what any fan of wonderwoman or fan of comics would have wanted. I mean Adrianne Palacki ( that is her name right?) liiked pretty okay as Wondy, and sure maybe it wasn't what we expected, but I liked the way she rocked the suit. Would I have wanted more? Oh hells yeah.

I'm a huge comic fan as anyone knows me will say, and I'm loving the fact that we have so many comic movies. BUT I'm so so so so tired of yet another Superman movie and yet another Batman movie. I grew up with what coudl be called some of the best of those. Do we really need to show them again? No. Not really. I'd be much happier watching a Wonder Woman movie or a Witchblade movie or hell I'd watch an Aquaman movie or the Powers movie.

Thing with me is that I just want to see every character given a fair enough chance at a movie. Soem characters deserve movies due to either their rich history or their pure creative brilliance. Some books I'm a little indifferent about and the others I'm more curious as to why something lik esay Cowboys and Aliens was chosen over oh I don't know... Let's say Chassis ( who remembers that huh?)

Okay I'm sorry for the rant JT , This is just a passionate subject of mine and I'll stop here because I think I've gone past the topic of discussion here.
