This is what I brought you; this you can keep...

Alright, this one will be pretty long haha. A lot of stuff went down this weekend, but I'll still try to make this as brief as I can while going over everything I remember.

Friday didn't really start out the way I planned it haha. I had planned on working long enough during the first four days of the week to only have to work a couple on Friday, which I did work enough to do that, but then they tell me that I'm required to work a minimum of 4 hours every day or I don't get paid for it. That's a pretty damn big crock if ya ask me, but I don't make the rules. So, that put me an hour behind where I planned to be already, and I still had to swing by Chuck's for a couple cds I wanted. Bob had taken my truck to Bella's trailer to load up her stuff because they were selling it, but he hadn't told me they were staying the night out there Thursday when he took it. I met him waiting at Rite-Aid in Pound with Bella and Jerry and told him he needed to get his ass back there with my truck cause I sure as hell wasn't taking that van to Indy. Well, eventually I made it home, and I call Goo to tell him I've gotta wait on Bob to get back with the truck, and he tells me that he's damn near broken his ankle lol. Seems that he jumped off the porch at Hippie's later Thursday night after we all left Trav's. He wasn't ready either so I guess that worked out. I got the rest of my stuff together and headed towards Bella's so I could get the truck ASAP. I met Bob coming across the railroad tracks in Clinchco, swiped the truck, and Goo and I were on our way.

We had to stop by FC in C-wood to cash Goo's check. By this time, it was 3:45, and we had planned on leaving at 2 lol. Waaaay off schedule here. We eventually got rolling though on the longest damn two-lane road EVER. We did get to see "Breathitt Funeral Home" though lol. Chad called us around Louisville. So close to Louisville, in fact, that I missed the exit I was supposed to get on and went right into downtown Louisville lol... Saw the Louisville Slugger stadium, some classy looking strip club (lol), and a Jewish Hospital. Not to mention a nice little gang in the ghetto haha. Well we kept ourselves entertained well enough and arrived in Indianapolis around 11 or so (I think). We checked about 3 different places but only one had a room with two beds, so we hit up the Best Western which was maybe a mile from the Comfort Inn where the interviews would be held. What was pretty damn funny was that they coincidentally gave us the only handicapped room on our floor; it just fit the Goo perfectly for the shape he was in lol. I'm sure that seat in the shower helped him out immensely...haha!

I got up at 7 Saturday morning. Ate breakfast downstairs and came back up to prep some more for the interview, which would prove to be a waste of good time I could've spent sleeping. Goo eventually got up around 9:15 I think, and we needed to leave out around 9:35 or so. When we got to the Comfort Inn, we were shown to a nice size conference room where the interviews were supposed to be. Then we were ran out and shuffled into a MUCH smaller room that made it hard for any of us to get around, let alone Goo on crutches lol. Well, the recruiter whipped out the color vison-screening first thing. Goo went first. And it wasn't good haha. He got through the first couple and then just went completely downhill. You MUST pass the color vision-screening to get hired as a conductor for CSX, no exceptions. The rest of us did alright with it, and the former Army Sargeant went into about an hour long overview of what to expect, which was blown waaay out of proportion in comparison of what I've heard from the two guys I know that are conducting haha. He did manage to scare one dude off; he didn't come back after the break.

Took the Hogan's Personality Test and some reading test that was probably 3rd or 4th grade level, if that, and then it was interview time. It was right there in front of everyone else in the room and not thorough at all. Basic yes or no questions with no chance to sell yourself at all. I'd say Goo's interview went a little better than mine since he had a job outdoors and all that before. I still did pretty well though (especially since I'm not color blind lol) and my degree came in pretty handy. Well we got out of there around 1 and went to a place called Kazablanka's just up the road. We had an awesome meal and asked the bartender, out of curiosity, just how far the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was from there. Turns out it was like 2 miles up the road! She gave us directions and we were there in no time.

The highlight of the trip: I GOT TO KISS THE BRICKS AT THE BRICKYARD!!! We took an awesome tour of the speedway. We sat in the press room, up where the winner sets after the race, saw the media center with like 150 TVs, spent some time in Victory Lane, sat where the commentators do now, took a lap around the track and then some. Unbelivable. That's all I can really say about it now haha.

We got back on the road a little after 5. We decided to head to Chad's for the night, and damn, it was a LONG drive there. We came back through Knoxville, having an all-out jam session all the whlie lol. My voice was pretty strained that night and my vocal cords are still a little sore, but damn it was worth it haha. We got to Chad's around 12:30 that morning, I guess. He showed us the "Merry-go-round of Death" on DrunkenDelight. One of the funniest things I've ever seen, bar none lol. You gotta go watch it, right after you finish reading this lol.

Sunday, we went and had the pics developed of the Brickyard, swung by the mall, saw Puff and KB for a while, and headed back home. I got home around 7 or so and ended up FLOORED by the time the night was done. Bob brought his new woman, Nancy, by to meet me for the first time... Right before they leave, he tells me, "Oh yeah, Bella wanted me to tell you... We're getting married." Hear is what I said in reply: ".... .... .... ummm... awesome!" I didn't know what in the blue hell to say! He's been seeing her for like 2 months for the love of peanut butter! All I can say about that right now is "Prenuptual Agreement." lol

That's it for this weekend. Jam packed full of fun and excitement lol.

C U!
