Dear Kelsey,
My rats are huge. How did this happen? They were babies one day and now they can jump three feet into the air, out of the bucket that I used to keep them in while I was cleaning their cage. They are also much thicker feeling now. How do I tell if they are getting fat?
Boy rats have huge balls.
They also fight a lot, do I need to have their balls removed? There is no blood, just a lot of pulling each other off the walls by their tails. I do not want to remove their balls if possible.
Their cage is significantly too small these days. Do you know where I can get a quality cage for cheapies? I have tried craigslist, but people get jumpy. Also there is a rat in Salisbury on craigslist that some woman is giving away because her evil teenage daughter does not clean it or take care of it. I don't know if it's a boy or a girl or if you have time for another rat, but you are the only person I would let know about that.
My rats wont let me hold them. They run around like crazies.
