My 4th of July weekend injuries
July 3 at the EXCELLENT party at P&L's I enjoyed the Slip & Slide enough to give myself a number of very small injuries, the most interesting of which is some bruising around the elbow from one time where I tried to go down on my back and my arm bent the wrong way a little. It seems to have bruised from the inside. I have some scratches from sliding off the rubber and into the yard, and a widespread soreness from throwing myself at the ground so many times.
July 4, George, my mad scientist friend, decided to improve a bottle rocket by tying two black cats (firecrackers, not pets) to it. The extra weight made it misfire and it exploded ~18 inches from my right ear, which is still ringing slightly.
