I've now made lists of all the tasks that need doing before the house is ready for Cathrin, and have put them in all the rooms. So, now to gradually work my way through them! There's about 70 tasks in all, and I have 28 days (not including departure day). So that means I need to average at least 2.5 per day.

OK, so a couple of days missed, but some stuff is still getting done.

Yesterday I emptied out the storage unit in the lean-to, and binned an enormous amount of stuff. it's now starting to be used as a place to gather stuff I'm keeping

OK, so no-one else is ever likely to come across this, but I need somewhere to keep a log of my efforts to get the whole housekeeping thing under control. And writing it down on paper would just result in yet more paper cluttering the place and therefore be counter-productive.
