Last day
Well, it's my last day here at CSC/TEKSystems. It's been a good job - except for the lack of benefits from TEKSystems. The folks in the shop did an impromptu going away get together this morning - card, cake, etc. My boss called an "all hands" meeting to discuss some catastrophic problem with our software - that was for me benefit to get everyone together. Very nice. If things don't work out with IBM, I was told that I'd be welcomed back here. Nice to know. I will miss the people here. The project was OK - the pace was a little slower than I was used to, but overall, it was a good experience (especially on the heels of 9 months of unemployment).
After work some of the folks are meeting me at a local cigar bar for a couple O' beers. Should be a good time.
On the home/wood front, I'm still putting together the new Craftsman table saw and Incra fence system. Stupid. I snapped off a bolt in the side of the tablesaw while trying to install the mounts for the new fence. Now I have to drill/dig the stupid thing out. What a pain. This saw/fence/router table is going to be pretty big once it's all put together. I'll post some pics later.
