The State of my universe

Let's see, what's new? First, house stuff. The movers are showing up at the Naperville house on the 2nd - it will be just me keeping them in line as Laura has to work and Cassie has school. The closing is set for the 12th, hopefully, neither of us will have to be there - that's part of what the lawyer gets paid for.

New House: Cassie's room is still a work in progress. By the end of the week, we should have all of the woodwork done, and be ready for the panelling. Not much else is getting done, except for unpacking, and trying to get ready for the shipment from Naperville on the 4th.

Computerdom: I got the new iTunes, but my Mac is acting funny - slow. I may need to reformat the drives. GarageBand looks really cool, but I can't run it due to speed issues. The machine (including the drives) should be enty fast enough. I just have to track down the source of the slowdown. Speaking of slowdown, my typing sucks right now. Why? you ask? Because I'm going through a serious learning curve with my new Keyboard. It is very nice, and I like it a lot, but it's very, very different.

Writing: Nothing at the moment. I'm currently re-reading the Alvin Maker series by Card, and the one about writing by King. I hope to det myself back up with a regular schedule this week (1,000 per day, at 5 days per week).
