You can learn a lot reading or rereading a book. Where has our sense of family gone? Where has the helpfulness, the resourcefulness, doing what needed to be done without whining/complaining gone? Where has our patriotism gone? Why have we forgotten lessons our grandparents/great-grandparents/etc have learned? Why are we not learning from the past, to slow down, to never give up, to do what is needed, to be there when our country calls? Why do we forget?

We should never forget, we should remember.
