Books

I just finished 'THE DANCING GIRLS OF LAHORE' by Louise Brown last night. I actually was pretty proud of myself for doing so. Whenever I start a book I can't seem to finish it so give it up. Okay more like I skimmed it but still it was moving. Gave me a lot of questions. Like is there a way I can actually find out about Islam without having to read oustsiders views or read books from girls who broke free? And is it still bad for the girls and women of Lahore or did it get better or worse? And what about the family she followed? How are they?

I just started 'CIVIL WARS: THE BATTLE FOR GAY MARRIAGE' by David Moats. I have a feeling it will be an interesting read. One I wish my mother would read but I think she would rather be still ingorant in her ways right now. By the way do any of you think I can put a sentence I found inspiring in the prologue on my livejournal and not get in trouble or should I email/write him when I'm finised with the book and ask his opinion just to be safe. If it is a great read(to get off subject again) I might hopefully buy me a copy. I think it will be and I'll be realy happy with it.

Any other books you guys can recommend based on these two books that you think we should all read? Thanks in advance.

EDit: I finished reading 'Civil Wars' and loved it! It was so interesting to read and so insiteful. I need to get it for my library but I just bought books and I didn't really have the money for them. But they seemed really interesting. Hopefully they live up to their summaries.
