The first week of school has passed
It was good to see the kids reunite with old friends.
Nicola enjoys her new teaching position better than previous one.
John Mayer concert was awesome. One Republic was amazing....the kids appreciated them more I think.
Joseph joined band and chose trumpet. Broland came over and gave him his trumpet from high school and spent an hour with him, very patiently teaching him to care for it and encouraging him in his new venture. I simply held back and listened from the kitchen..with a lump in my throat. Joseph was beaming with pride that his older, "cool" friend was taking such interest.
Faith comes to my work for an hour each day after school and works on homework while waiting for her mom and siblings to come from the middle school. She is fast becoming the sweetheart of the nursing home.
I signed up for face-pic thinking it was the face-book everyone was talking about....big mistake.
One of my coworkers has a major crush on Nicola...it sort of makes me uncomfortable. He is about 22 and is constantly asking about her. He met her in the lobby once. Kinda strange.
So many house projects are building....can't seem to wrap my mind around how to prioritize.
Church? For the kids it is great. For me? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. On the fence.
Met and had breakfast with a new youth leader from another church. His girls are also on swim team..same ages as mine. We hit it off in a big way and got the families together for a hoot of a time at Logans last night....but once he realizes I'm a liberal nerd he may disappear!! He was funny and his wife teaches at Nicolas old school. Small world.
I have recently started taking glucosamine!! Oh .....my....LORD!!!! Why didn't anyone tell me sooner. For five years I've had bad knees and now I can hop skip and jump like I was 25!!!
I've also run 1.5-2 miles at least four days a week for two whole months now.....lost six pounds.....hired a personal trainer for a consult on Tuesday. Very proud of my fat ass!!! He is built like a brick house and intimidates the crap out of me, but we will only meet once a month so I will fake it in the mean time. The mans muscles have muscles.
Joseph has consult for braces on thursday........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...no camera for me again this year.
