Just saw an ad for Easy A on DVD Tuesday!!
Woo hoo! I looooved that movie and can't wait to make it my own. Except, probably on Blu-Ray. I'll wait till after next week to see if Santa brings it to me, but if not, I must own it regardless.
I bought pork chops yesterday, I've got them in the oven. I also made fettuccine (out of a box) and have potatoes in the oven as well. It's quite possible this will be the most substantive meal I've ever made myself. If only I had this kind of time every day.
I Googled to see how long I should bake the potatoes and the two recipes I found (including
http://www.howtobakeapotato.com which, y'know, I thought would have electronic items for sale) said that I should coat them in vegetable oil prior to baking. Sooo, I did. I'd never heard of that, my mom just threw them in plain, but I'll give it a whirl.
Speaking of time, I'm feeling ripped off, holiday wise. The call center is closed for outbound the next two Saturdays, of course, and outbound shuts down early on Xmas Eve. I said I'd hang out if inbound gets busy. M-Th is a normal week for me, and I'm working at least 7:30a-3 Friday. So I'm scheduled for 38 hours, will probably get in my usual 40. My morning counterpart is taking Christmas Eve off, so I'm covering for her. My supervisor asked me if I wanted New Year's Eve off then. I said OK, you talked me into it.
But we don't get any extra full days off, due to the holidays being on Saturdays. The only bright side is that I won't shouldn't get any dialer-related phone calls those days. (I got at least four yesterday, for comparison.)
I'm officially in the middle of two books, and I have one more on deck. All are borrowed. I've got the library's
Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things, and Sister #2 lent me the most recent Grisham paperback (the one I've been working on for like a month) and All the President's Men. I also just acquired the audiobook of Portia de Rossi's memoir, so I'll want to delve into that pretty soon.
