Emmy noms are out. (ONTD discussion post.) They've embraced the Oscars' decision to increase the nominee fields. Most of the acting categories have six nominees, and the Best Drama/Comedy each have seven.
I didn't expect Dollhouse to get any noms, and I was right. I don't think Alan Tudyk even submitted anything, so. As always, 30 Rock and Mad Men got slobbered on. (Each has four out of five noms in their respective Best Writing cats.) And quite interesting to see how cable is pushing the traditional nets out of the way. Best Comedy has three shows that are on premium cable and four on networks. Best Drama has two shows on networks, three on basic cable, and two on premium cable.
I was very happy to see that Jimmy Smits got nominated for Dexter, albeit as guest actor. He was in every episode of the season, so I don't know how they decided that. MCH got nominated as usual. I was quite hopeful that Jennifer Carpenter would get a nom, but no luck.
Oooh, weird. There's a Detect button on Location. How long has that been there? LJ knows where I am.
