The Hurricane

As many of you know, my mom works for FEMA. Yes, the agency that is being roasted over a spit for not responding to Hurricane Katrina fast enough. But she is a low man on the totem pole... Anyways, she is in Dallas right now helping about 10,000 disaster victims who have taken shelter there in the Conference Center. She is working 7 days a week ( Read more... )

I'll keep your mom in my thoughts along with all the others affected by this tragedy. I only wish there were more I could do.

I'm glad there's someone compitent there :) no really, it's cool that your mom is in a position to help so many people..I hope everything goes well for her down there (and for all the refugees as well)

on a side note, I heard from Robyn you'll be coming back to evansville...tehre are a few positions at USI that I think you're very well qualified for that you might want to check out..http://www.usi.edu/HR/Employ/admin.asp

The two I'm thinking of are the Assitent Director Judicial affairs, which is in Res Life and the Student developement/Greek life position...I'd be a decent reference for housing, since I do computer support for them :)
