Just finishing up on my getting ready stuff for the trip to - oh, wait, I haven't really discussed that, have I?
We're leaving tomorrow on a trip to Nebraska for the US National Roller Skating Championships. A lot of the time, the streets of Lincoln will be the temperature of boiling lead (heat index of 118F? Lawzy, lawzy) and her main practice place is un-airconditioned. And, according to Susan and Mere, it's a serious pit. Ergo, I'm going to see about catching as much of the practice as I can, but only the actual events are in the big Pershing Arena (well Air Conditioned, I assume) and I may hole up somewhere - the hotel, a library, you name it.
I truly hate scaldingly hot weather, and I'm not happy with This Summer, nossir.
So I will have to relax and rest and catch up on a ton of things I haven't had time to get to - like journaling. I'm WAY behind, as I'm sure you noticed. Facebook is too ephemeral for me to write anything all that involved.
More later on this NBC station......
