Update on the home front:

Got a phone call from my old and best pal Kurt, who reads this online, and was wondering how I was doing - from the ‘if Jim doesn’t post every couple of days or some, something’s wrong’ direction…

The recovery from the hospital trip is ongoing; I have a trip to the podiatrist this morning for a followup.   I’m easily tired, but the Bactrim seems to be doing a number on the MRSA that nailed me.  My left foot is still very swollen, and I can’t get standard socks and shoes on because of it.   But the redness and whatnot are gone.

Susan laid down the law that I HAD to clean out my office, which is admittedly a mess, and so that’s what I was doing…she wants to make sure that the MRSA stuff is cleaned out on the tile floor there, and that I have a sane workspace.  Can’t argue any of that, of course, and with summer coming, the basement has to be in some sort of order for use.

We will also have to redd out the library, of course.  We’ve contacted a carpet guy to come in and recarpet Susan’s office, and to re-setup the carpet in the library, which got torn up too many times this winter due to flooding.   Both will require that the relevant areas are emptied of Stuff On The Floor, and a friend with a strong back is coming in to help with that (as I’m in no shape to do it).

We’re also deep in other planning for various household stuff - home repairs, gardening, etc -  and that’s my lead to arrange.    More on that as it comes up.
