Surprise Vacation!
My sister called Sunday and invited me to join her for a Dallas to San Francisco road trip since her friend flaked on her. Owing to other obligations (like seeing Green Day tomorrow night, wooooo!!! and our parent coming up next Wednesday) I won't be joining her for the whole trip, but I will do Phoenix to Las Vegas with her. This means I get to see Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas! I leave Thursday for Phoenix and fly back Tuesday from Las Vegas. Neither Karen nor I have ever been to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, or Hoover Dam, so we are going to do as much sightseeing as we can in the few days we're there. I am going to take so many pictures! I am really ridiculously excited for this trip. The last time I went somewhere new for fun was Seattle about a year ago.
I welcome any suggestions on places to stay, eat, and/or shop as well as any hiking trails, tours, and must see sights for any of our destinations.
