Favorite new video? This
fake trailer for Jane Austen's Fight Club that I'm sure many of you have already seen on your flists.
I've added a few pictures from
The Like's concert back in June.
I also put up pictures from my trip to
SCBI (Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute) last weekend. They took a group of us zoo volunteers on a tour of the grounds. It's pretty cool because they are only open to the public two days a year and do very few other private tours. This is so all the animals there can have as little stress on them as possible. The keepers and scientists at SCBI do a lot of work on Species Survival Plans, breeding endangered and threatened animals so that their gene pools stay as diverse as possible to give each species the best chance for continued survival in the wild or in captivity. Some species are completely extinct in the wild and only survive in zoos and parks around the world. For some of these species they are working on plans for introducing them back into the wild. They also work on finding better methods for managing animals in captivity.
This afternoon I'm going to
ell's for noms and swimming. We're meeting Brooke after to see Inception. I feel I will be disappointed with all the previews because none will be as awesome as the one for Jane Austen's Fight Club.
