Signal boost on behalf of my sister, a resident of the state of Texas
"The public comment period for changes to the Texas curriculum began on Friday. For those of you who live in the state and are opposed to redacting history (no, really - among other items, Thomas Jefferson's papers arguing for separation of church and state are out), PLEASE support the state's educators in their request to delay the changes until they can be reviewed by credentialed experts!"

The Texas State Board of Education's website has links to contact information for all board members. Please let them know that you support having "a panel of qualified, credentialed content experts from the state's colleges and universities" review the proposed textbook changes.
