Today I discovered "Letters of Note", a website dedicated to publishing interesting old letters. It's neat. They've got one from Margaret Thatcher to Ronald Reagan, one from Billie the Kid to a state govorner, and the one that brought me to the website.

beatonna has done it again. Yet another historical figure comic that makes me giggle with glee: Jane Austen writes pr0n.

Today I watched a bizarrely surrealist animation created by Blu. You should watch it too. He uses graffitti as frames in a pretty lengthy animation, and the results are... bizarre? disturbing? beautiful? fun?

Yes.

I'm strongly reminded of Jan Svankmajer's Faust, René Laloux's Fantastic Planet, and some of Terry Gilliam's work, too.

First, from Mark Khaisman: Brown Tape Art. Yes, he uses brown packing tape on plexiglass to create semi-translucent, sepia pictures, like light paintings. Some of the more detailed human subjects sort of amaze me.
