I just read
Alex Steffen's post on optimism as a political act over at
WorldChanging. When I postulated the need for
Radical Optimism, I was thinking along these lines. But I was thinking about something broader. Like
Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools for positive change. Alex pretty much hit the nail on the head, though. When I read, "Cynicism is often seen as a rebellious attitude in Western popular culture, but, in reality, cynicism in average people is the attitude exactly most likely to conform to the desires of the powerful - cynicism is obedience." a little shiver ran down my spine.
Go check it out, and see what you think.
