(no subject)
It's really sunny in Madison, WI today, and warm. It's not hot. I moved back here a few weeks ago to finish my dissertation, which may or may not have been the brightest of ideas. Luckily I live in a particularly boring part of town that has very little to do.
...and it seems that I am growing desperate for distraction, seeing as how I am now writing on a livejournal account that I haven't updated in more than 16 weeks.
People have the weirdest conversations:
Older Lady: I got you whole grain.
Really Older Lady: What?
Older Lady: I got you whole grain. Healthy. (Pause.) Do you want butter?
Really Older Lady: With extra cheese.
Older Lady: What?
Really Older Lady: Extra cheese.
The conversation continued but I grew less and less interesting by the minute. I met a boy last night. He was an idiot. I mean he smelled good but he babbled on and on and on for god knows how long. I kinda feel like I want to shove an ice-pick in an artery, but I don't...
(I don't know when I wrote this, in early September sometime. But I remember it. Something weird happened and then I couldn't post this nonsense and so today, when I opened up my LJ account, this fucked up entry came back. Weird, huh?)
