They Failed Again.

Those wacky Wisconsin activists. Despite failure after failure, they just won't go away. Today they announced yet another failure: after one month of collecting recall signatures against the Governor, Scott Walker, they had only collected 504,000 of them, bazillions less than the 540,000 they need to get in two months time, and megabazillions less ( Read more... )

According to a Walker spokesman "the Democrats are rallying their left-wing base around their blatant power grab for the governor’s mansion."

Of course, it doesn't hurt that the Wisconsin Elections Board (I can't remember its real name) said that signatures with the names of "Osama bin Laden" and "Adolf Hitler" will count. It will be interesting to see if that ends up in court....

Sort of, but not really. First, there is no evidence that there *are* signatures of Adolf Hitler, nor Osama. Second, what the board said was that they would not *automatically* throw out specific names, rather the specific signatures that are believed to be fake names or duplicates would have to be challenged.

Seems reasonable to me.
