80% of us thought it was more likely than not there would be a government shutdown.
But unless something like 14000 votes suddenly appearing happens, it looks like it's not going to happen. But there is still hope! We can all watch another game of chicken soon when the bill to raise the debt limit which must be passed comes up soon.
Update: Hmmm. Well, technically, I guess the government is shutdown, since it's past midnight on the East Coast and the 1-week continuing resolution has not yet been passed by the House (it was passed by the Senate). So everyone gets to be correct, either technically or for practical purposes.
Update: It passed the House, but won't be signed by the President until sometime during the day Saturday.
