You can't make this stuff up: In the matter of Coleman vs. Franken

Feb 11, 2009 21:58

Yesterday, the Election Court asked both sides to weigh in on,
among other things, whether

A ballot cast by a non-registered voter who has failed to register to vote
should be accepted?

Why there should be any question about this, at least under Minnesota law,
is hard to fathom.

Fortunately for the court, which otherwise would have had to make an extremely nuanced
and careful decision, both sides managed to agree that ballots cast
by non-registered voters who have failed to register to vote should not be counted.

And they say bipartisanship is dead.
