Nicole Ritchie is WAY too skinny.
MSN gossip columnists are now using compound words like SeaHatch after the recent sightings of Ryan Seacrest and Teri Hatcher out on dates. Please. First of all, I don't think they're dating. Second of all: SeaHatch. I guess we will forever have to blame Bennifer for paving the way for such atrocities as Vaughniston, Brangelina, and TomKat. Get a life people.
Best Week Ever is one of the greatest shows ever. VH-1 rocks. I mean, it's basically a whole 24 hour channel dedicated to pop culture.
Can you believe Mandisa was voted of American Idol? I seriously could have cried! And my favorite two, Paris and Elliott, were in the bottom three. What is wrong with you people? Bucky and Taylor should go! Americans are getting as bad at picking American Idols as they have been at picking a president for the past two elections!
Is Katie Couric serious enough to handle the CBS Evening News? I don't have a personal problem with her, I just wonder. I honestly haven't ever been a big fan of Meredith Vieira. I don't know if she's fun enough for an early morning show. And I'm not meaning this to sound sexist/ageist, or anything else offensive, but I think someone younger should co-host with Matt Lauer. Just my personal opinion. I'm eager to see how Katie does on CBS though. I have a feeling she'll rise to the challenge.
I watched Love Actually again this past week. It's actually been a while since I watched it last (a while = more than a month). I swear, it gets better every time I watch it.
I haven't made up my mind yet on how I feel about Teddy Geiger. I'm gonna listen to some more of his songs. I was disappointed that CBS cancelled Love Monkey after just three episodes. I feel like they could've given it a little bit more of a chance. It was a good solid show.
Speaking of TV, Britney Spear's guest role on Will & Grace was pretty funny. She wasn't great, and the episode definitely wasn't as good as previous ones (does anyone else miss seasons 2-4 like I do?). But, the Repbulican and radical Christian jokes were hilarious.
Commander In Chief returns from its haitus next week in it's new time slot, Thursday nights at 9. So, everyone tune into ABC to watch it. Nothing else is on then. Nobody watches E.R. anymore. Not after 387 seasons. (Okay really only 12, but it's time to call it quits.)
Showtime is no longer a part of Comcast's regular lineup. You have to pay extra for it. Boo. I guess I will have to just buy Weeds on DVD when it comes out...or download episodes from iTunes. Great show.
Is anyone watching Big Love or Huff? Are they good? Let me know!
Oh, and since I've gone on and on about pop culture, I'll delve slightly into politics. Today was the filing deadline for major party candidates in Alabama. I am stoked to see that Jim Folsom, Jr. is running for Lieutenant Governor. I was beginning to think no Democrat would file, but he came through to save us. Also, a Democrat filed candidacy for Alabama House District 62. Thank goodness! I think I would vote for ANYONE over Gerald Allen. He must be stopped! It was looking like the pickings would be slim, but the Democrats ended up with candidates (often more than one) in almost all major races. I'll of course be blogging more in depth about the election as the June 6 primaries get closer.
