Hi gang :)

I'm back again. Happy Saturday. It's a little grey and cold outside, so I thought I'd pull out my keyboard and blab for a few. I've been to the grocery store and have tonights dinner menu waiting in the fridge. Fish and shrimp bake, with salad. (impressed?)If you've been wondering how my Pull Toy business is going. Good news! I've ( Read more... )

I gotta say that I love the sketch with the moon smoking that rocket like a five-cent stogie!

We also love the Firefly series, and we haven't owned a television since 1984... A friend loaned us the set and we had to watch them on the laptop, heads pressed together. It was kind of pathetic. The movie really did rock, also!

Someday we'll have a real computer with a larger monitor, and then it'll be movie night!

Hello Mad Jack Flint, (Nice name!) Glad you love that moon sketch, I was inspired by an image from the very old film "A trip to the moon"

It's hard to believe the show was cancelled, or given the current state of TV....maybe not.

I thought The Man in the Moon was looking cheerfully smug, having caught the rocket in the mouth rather than the eye! Great twist! And thanks for the link to the original film. I remember seeing it a very, very long time ago, but most of the details had slipped away, other than the iconic, frankly frightening grimacing moon face. If I ever see it again. I'll keep an eye peeled for the 'scantily-clad gunners'. I'm sure that I'll appreciate them a lot more now!

Oh, Mad Jack Flint came about during one of those "What's Your Pirate Name?" quizzes, and the whole family took the quiz and here's how it fell out. I was Mad Jack Flint, my wife was Captain Bonnie Flint, and the daughter came out as Calico Anne Flint... It was funny at the time!

Your posts always brighten my day! Thanks, and cheers!

Your very welcome. If you happen to come across the "Whats your pirate name" quiz, please send it my way. It sounds fun.

I was just watching a show on TV tonight about science fiction prophecy, concering Jules Verne and H G Wells, and to my surprise they showed the exact clip from that movie, where the moon face gets it in the eyeball. Ya...that is one ugly looking moon face...

You so need to watch Buffy and its spin-off Angel.
I didn't watch them until last year on DVDs.
I was an idiot for not catching them the first time around because I thought it was a teenage fluff thing.
A musical episode, a completely silent episode, an episode with puppets, witches, vampires, snarky-good humor and more pop-cultural references than the Gilmore Girls could string together in a century with Starbuck IVs.

The latest toy design is amazing, btw.
Where do you come up with these things?

Hi Madeline :) Thats exactly why I never watched the Buffy shows either, I may have to break down some day and check them out.

Thank you on the toy design. :) Where do I come up with them? Not sure...(but prolly has something do with being dropped on my head as child)

How Exciting! lolo_art January 30 2007, 01:11:25 UTC
Hi Joe!
That is FINE to have the worm man's hands & face hanging out on the railing like that! Love it! (I laughed when I saw it was just a big ol' hand stuck to the railing with no arm though.) He'll have an arm right?

I really like him slumped over like that. I KNEW you'd bring your ((style)) to our collab. sculpture piece. I can't wait to see more.

I really like your newest pulltoy, it is very detailed, and is quite unique. I think (I know) you have stumbled upon something very cool. and may I say young man, your color choices on the baboon are fabulous.

RE: Your Black and Decker workmate. "highly sophisticated equipment I keep in my workshop" ha ha --You and your sponsors... ;)

You made fish and shrimp bake with a salad? Gawd, I AM impressed!

Have a nice Monday J,
Lo**

Hi Lo :) Glad its fine that the worm hanging over the railing was ok. Oh yes he will have arms. Thank you on the pull toy design....you know I'm such a detail freak. Yesterday I spent alot more time on it....and its changed again.

lol! Glad you like the sponsors. :) You can tell they are eagerly lining up to be part of the ole "Strange Trips Here on Earth" blog. Perhaps someday...I will have a "really" fasinating sponsor...like Kleenax..or something..
