Cy Tombly's retrospective exhibit at Tate Modern is something to write home about. Few better ways of getting a really profound view of what has happened in this our world, between 1950 and now. A blog full of images of Belgium's steel mills region, around Charleroi: James Blog: images et haïkus du Pays Noir. Although as a child I (fortunately) didn't live close to that region, the images of Mons and Charleroi, regions we had to cross when going to France, are engraved in my mind.
