Sup, bitches. I got paid today. Oh yehh, love annual leave.
As much as I like art and fashion, it's making me seriously brain-dead and everything is beginning to look the same.
I was going to blog about Juno, but I think it's a little over-done already. That said, it's a fantastic fantastic movie that's hilarious yet emotional at the same time. Not to mention, the acting is spectacular.
So onwards to my review of The Darjeeling Limited, which I saw on my flight back to Melbourne on Sunday. It's actually quite a recent movie, being released on Boxing Day last year, but is relatively unknown. It stars Adrien Brody (Oscar winner from The Pianist), Owen Wilson and Jason Schwartzman, which are an amazing team.
The plot circles around the reunion of three brothers who, after the death of their father, decide to take a train, The Darjeeling Limited, to India in order to 'find themselves' and reconnect. However their spiritual quest is disrupted by over-the-counter Indian pain killers, pepper spray and poisonous snakes. A great comedy with a deeper meaning.
The amazing sets really give the movie a mainstream feel however the script had me laughing in a way that only Indie films could (think Napoleon Dynamite). I loved this film so much that I would gladly pay money to see it again.
