The days are starting to blend into one, which is the classic sign that holidays have begun. Except there's the problem; holidays have most certainly not begun. Exams are in one week and I have yet to begin studying. It scares me that by now I'm meant to know the entire year 12 specialist course as well as all of physics. I really don't think I've learnt anything at all..hmmm
Anyhow, on more interesting matters, some darling took me out for thai dinner on Sunday night so I could finally, finally have authentic tasting Tom Yum noodles of which I've been deprived of since my last trip to Singapore last year. We then continued the tradition of seeing random (CRAP) movies ie. Zodiac. In short, the movie is a true story based on a best-selling book about:
- a serial killer that likes to shoot and stab couples
- and then calls the police and sends letters to the press to freak everyone out
- sends everyone on a wild goose-chase in a bid to find him
- drives a cop and cartoonist (Jake Gyllenhaal) mad because they become obsessed with the case
And after almost three hours, the movie ends with the assumption that the 'Zodiac' just died. I feel so deprived of a proper ending and so cheated that I spent so much time (most of which I was hitting my head on the seat or Reyan's shoulder) watching such a slow-paced movie. Okok fine, it was scary, but I'd like at least a highlight for all that suspense they built up..
..in a Mercedes. So classy :P But perhaps not as classy as that Enzo that was going up and down Kingsway that we only heard but never really got a proper look at. We really should have gone to McDonald's after that because I still crave chicken nuggets however I'm certainly not complaining because I do very much like the feel of smooth leather seats.
Even if I did have, in the back of my mind, the thought that we could get murdered like those poor couples in the movie. I'm sorry, but I sort of get scared easily, especially when I see a knife going in and out of a women's back and stomach..
So..let's move on..
Target has just announced that Josh Goot will be the new June designer for their Designer's for Target concept. Josh Goot? Yeh, I've never heard of him either. It seems that Target's Stella McCartney stint was an effort to bring more publicity to the whole theme seeming as their last 'designer' collection didn't do too well. However, I do mean that previous designers just didn't sell like hotcakes, not saying there weren't beautifully designed. Which is very much how I feel Josh Goot's collection with be for Target.
By the look of Goot's personal collection, his style is very sleek which really does carry onto his Target collection. Personally I really do love the sophisticated feel of his designs but if they're not for you, he does have some nice colourful pieces as well. My favourites:
Bored? Why not amuse yourself with
Winter Bells. This game has been around for quite awhile and only now can I appreciate it. Take my advice, and try not to beat Alvin's Reyan's insane score of 254017427664920, instead enjoy the magical music (which makes me want to frolick in snow NOW) and look at the cutecutecute bunny.
