If you ruin this for me, I will probably punch you during the interval..

Oh my God, I need to be sleeping and not blogging, but I'm suddenly feeling all this apprehension regarding the whole Darren on Broadway thing. My problems don't lie with him being on Broadway or me possibly doing something crazy like flying into New York for one day and not telling anyone, but more with how high my expectations are for the entire experience. Let's be honest, 99% of me is doing this so I can get weepy over the fact that theatre geek Darren has "made it," because hey, I'm stereotyping here and assuming that the majority of people that study theatre actually want to end up on Broadway some day. What could potentially ruin this experience are Darren's crazy fans. Not that I'm not a crazy Darren fan, because there's no kidding that I am, but I'm referring more to people that have never seen a musical in their entire lives. People that will turn up wearing embarrassing Starkid tshirts with Glee Dalton blazers and pink fake raybans. People that will cheer every time he comes on stage, squeal when he says his lines and spend the entire show making annoying eating noises while they chew on redvines. I'm excited about Darren too, but can we all promise to shut the fuck up because I just want to watch the show in peace.
