My childhood ends in four days..

Jul 08, 2011 02:01

Totally watching the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premier live on Youtube right now.
Two things about this make me want to weep:
1) If I had stayed in London for longer I could have camped out at Trafalgar Square and actually seen the mock Diagon Alley they've built for the premier. And possibly seen J.K Rowling, the woman who has defined so much of my childhood.
2) It's the last movie and the last time I'll ever camp out for anything Harry Potter related. No more midnight screenings or waiting to see if Harry dies. I'll miss it all.

(TOM FELTON TALKING RIGHT NOW AND ADMITING TO BEING ON THE VERGE OF TEARS. I find it hilarious that my entire perception of his character has been warped by fanfiction.)

EDIT**. JK Rowling: "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

Oh God, tears actually streaming down my face.
