I'm not American, but even I wanted to cry bitch baby tears when I found out. It's such a huge step towards equality and yes, there are whole new range of issues that will need to be tackled with this repeal, but I don't think there are any valid excuses in creating barriers based on a person's sexuality. I'm sure people kicked up a huge fuss when women and african americans were given rights, and look how far we've come.

Also, I feel like mentioning that Chris has been nominated as a best supporting actor for both the Golden Globes and the SAGs, which is totally awesome because he's up against actors twice his age and gay actors rarely get recognised for playing gay roles.
