I'd rather play than get things done..

So I am in a pretty monotonous mood right now. My room is a serious mess with papers, clothes, shoes and beads sprawled on just about every flat surface, including my bed. The idea of going upstairs and having to face that nightmare is making me squeasy. But I suppose I'll have to seeming as Chapter Three of my Thermodynamics notes are lying around somewhere. And I certainly don't want to let the team down as it's my job to cram that topic because, yes my darlings, I will be cheating my ass off for tomorrow's test. But meh, that's what happens when you get to sit next to your friends.

Messiness makes me uneasy. Uneasiness makes me want to shop. Really not a good thing, especially since I'm on this 'shopping diet.' I'm battling on what to purchase, seeming as I'm in need of some warm tops and a proper laptop bag for Akira, since he likes going to university. On the other hand, the Zac Posen collection for Target is calling out to me, as well as a vintage dress. There's something about tragic 80's prom dresses that I really like, I think it has something to do with all those sequins.

Maybe, on the weekend (says Tracy everyday). As usual, the creative side thrives on mathematical failures.

I am really quite inspired by the Vogue's May '08 editorial, Daring Do. To get us in the mood for the annual Costume Institue Gala, designers were asked to create pieces inspired by popular comic book characters. I keep thinking that there's a limit in which fabric can be twisted, pleated and manipulated, but those old-school designers continue to prove me wrong.
