Creepy Giraffes and other wonderful things...

So yesterday was kind of a nice day. Let's recap with a list.

1) I'm about 96.5% sure that I saw Barbra Preisman of CI3 semi-obscurity fame exiting the library as I was entering. It says in her bio thing that she "loves to read" so that sort of makes sense. I gave her an "I know you from somewhere but I don't know where" look, and in return she ( Read more... )

Dance 4 Love... uhhhh I'm pretty sure it was a clip that was e-talk and/or the CI2 website and it was pretty much just this clip of the Idols kinda jamming to this song that I guess they made up. It was cute/funny as far as I remember, but I found it weird that people seem so enthralled with it. *shrugs* If it was e-talk I'm sure I have it on tape somewhere... hmm

Yes, Dance 4 Love is from E-talk. It was this cute little song that Jacob/Kalan apparently "wrote", which basically involved one of the preset techno tracks on a keyboard and then screaming "dance, dance, dance, freedom, freedom, liberty, love!" and so on. Kalan attempts to dance, Jon Dore says that Theresa smells like a dumpster. For me, the most amusing part of the entire story is that they (or Jacob, at least) got quite drunk and performed a rendition at the finale after party. I'd be willing to bet that crankygeek has it on her computer somewhere.

That's creepy that you saw Barbra! did she use her freaky hypno-eyes on you? (don't you wish that you had seen a better idol, like Barrett or Daryl?)

Personally, I love the bad script form. I use it too!

No way! I want it! Ok we may just have to ask her because just imagining it is cracking me up. Especially the after-party stuff. I also spent entirely too much time watching backstage clips of this year's CI this morning and I kinda liked it.

She totally used her hypno-eyes on me! That was what the look she gave me was! And yes I really do wish I had seen a better idol (Barrett! Daryl!! or omg Chad!!! haha), and I will clearly be exploiting this city to my advantage later in the season to do just that. Unless I have to go by myself, then clearly I won't.

I see she's given it to you! and yes, it's highly awesome!

KNEW IT! Oh, you and your love of Chad! have we figured out where he lives yet? You really should! And this would be the part where I encourage you to go by yourself, even though I would not.

Well, I did some reasearch on our dear Chad, and his picture is in with the "Eastern Gold Ticket Winners" so I feel like he's from Nova Scotia or something. Not as far as B.C. but still far.

See my icon? That's a screencap from the "dance 4 love" segment (Dickie has the printing of a seven year old child.) Hee. The sign he holds up says "look for it in record stores": it's been like, nine months, and I've seen NOTHING. WHAT A SHADY LIAR.

The lyrics of dance 4 love are like the following:

daaaaaaaance 4 life
and daaaaaaance 4 love

(dance dance dance dance
love love love love)

freedom freedom
freedom freedom
freedom freedom
peace and liberty

And yes, apparently there was a rendition of it at the after-party. I've heard two different version of it: one was that Jacob got drunk at the after party and made the DJ put it on and performed it for everyone. The other version is that Jacob got drunk at the after party and made the DJ put it on, and the drunken group (I heard Jacob, Theresa, Shane, Kalan and others) performed it for everyone. Personally, I like the second version better. Hee.

So here is the infamous DANCE 4 LOVE clip for download. Basically, these kids are the cutest things ever, and I'm more than a little ( ... )

BEST. VIDEO. EVER. Thanks so much for sharing that little piece of joy with me!! Seriously, it was even better than I had imagined! It's really too bad that Kalan is a lying lair. And I like the second version better too. :)

Hey, I noticed you mentioned an icon over at iconsbyrosie, and I've made one with lyrics from 0% interest, if you wanna head over to my journal and see if it's anything like what you're looking for :P

And yes, that is how teenage boys of the awkward type attempt to flirt. xD
