Random things.

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, and I saw all these toys - Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Ninja Turtles, Rainbow Brite, and it boggled my mind!
All the toys from when I was a kid - they're all back! It was so weird!

In a way, I liked it, because, all those 'old school' toys were good for kids - they were just basic toys with bright colors. They were just simple and nice. But what would really be nice is if kids now a days would appreciate toys like that.

Little girls don't play with dolls anymore, they are too busy playing with hooker boots and feather boas.

Little boys don't play with toy trucks anymore, they're are too busy grabbing themselves while saying 'Suck it!' to the little girls on the playground.

I also don't like the fact that they changed the 'My Little Ponies' and the 'Strawberry Shortcakes.' Their faces are all different, and their bodies are more slender.

Ah well. I hope there is a little girl or boy out there somewhere who will appreciate toys. The toys of my time were wholesome, and taught values, for the most part. The toys of today - well, you've got the 'Bratz' and the 'Flava's' and those other 'teen' dolls, but you know, those dolls aren't really for 'teens,' they're for little girls that want to be teens. It's sad really. They have these little dolls dressed like hookers. What kind of influence is that on kids? When I was a kid, Barbie was mostly covered, and we NEVER had dolls like that *shakes head*.

Oh well.

Also, when I was leaving Wal-Mart, I noticed something very strange...well, actually, not that strange at all.
As I was leaving the store, I saw a bunch of white people in a line to exit the store, and then, there was two black people together among a line.
As the black people were ready to go through the doors, an employee stopped them and said "can I see the receipt for that?" and the man said sure, and showed her the receipt and left. I watched this, and I don't know, felt a little weird. She didn't ask one person that was white...and asked the only black guy.
I don't know what her reasoning was for asking this one and only black guy...but like, is this the Canada we're living in? Seriously.

On a different note,
My last journal entry was a few days ago, and it was about how it feels when someone throws an apology back in your face (among other things). I don't really think it was a negative entry, but hey, go read it for yourself.

A couple days ago, I sent an email to this girl I had a difference with. We both acted poorly in a situation, and I just figured I'd make things right, seeing as how she's friends with people I've known for years.
She emailed me back, and she was really kind, and we both made emends and it was awesome.
I was sooo touched and felt so happy, because, it seemed for the first time in a long time, someone didn't have something to prove...and someone wasn't bitter, and it made me feel really great! :) It was so much different from the bitterness I experienced the other day.
One thing you can't ever do in life is throw all people into the same pile. 'Kudos!' to the people that have known that for years.

So yeah, I got new glasses yesterday. They're really geeky. Meh, that's what I am I guess. I might take them in and get the frames switched. 'm having second thoughts on these ones.

That's about it, really.
Anyone who reads this, have yourself a fabulous day! This humidity is heinous, but hey, least it's not hailing! :P
