Respond to this post with 'BACON TWINKIE STONEHENGE' and I will give you five questions to get to know you better. Repost and answer them in your journal. Pass it on, etc.
Here are my questions from
cruelest_month 1. Will you be participating in NaNoWriMO this year? If yes, what will you be working on?
Aw, NaNoing with April-sempai in Boston was so much funnnn~ (For those who don't know, this is how we met. Only afterwards did we realize were both yaoi fans! :D) Actually though, I'm going to modify it this year. I've been revising my '07 novel for quite some time now, and I think it's ready to send to publishers, all except the ending -- there is no ending! So I have to write that. For a long time I couldn't decide how to end it. I know I'll be really really busy in November because it's the month before finals, so I'm setting a low goal: I want to finish that book, and be satisfied with the ending. It's going to be a combination of adding words and intensive editing. Instead of starting a new project, I really want to wrap that first one up. I'm tired of the story but I'm proud of it too.
2. What is your favorite part of the Boston area?
This is tough. I'm going to have to say the Charles River. I've always been a fan of bodies of water, and it's very peaceful. I love when the ducks and geese are swimming around, and the way the ice breaks up in huge crusty polygons in early spring.
3. Where is your favorite place to write?
Being a complete bum, I actually get he best work done in my bedroom. I dislike loud noises and music when I write, so working in cafes tends to distract me, though it's a great social way to write.
4. If you were the mangaka for Naruto, what awesome things would you do with the series?
Moar buttsecks? ^_________^ Well, obviously I would make the whole thing shonen-ai, with Nauto and Sasuke kissing all the time. :3 But besides that, well, I would have done the entire second part differently. Sasuke's emotions would have been explored in more depth especially after killing Itachi, and I probably would have also had Orochimaru possess him for a little while just for kinky kicks. Mostly, instead of adding a whole slew of new characters, like Pain and Madara and all the Kages and even Juugo and Karin (Suigetsu rocks though) and all the random village people whose names I can't remember, I would have made sure to attend to the characters I had already developed so beautiful in the first part of the manga: the original Rookie 9. I mean, Asuma's team got a little development at that one point, especially Shikamaru, but the rest have largely gone ignored or been used in the obligatory mindless battles. Finally, I would not have made everything so predictble with the new generation succeeding the old. It's tiresome. In short, I would have done pretty much everything differently post-Valley of the End. XD I could go on and on and on.
5. What fictional character do you relate to the most at the moment?
Hm, this is surprisingly tough. It was Sasuke for a long time but not for at least a year now, both because I've grown and because Sasuke's lost every last shred of relatability he ever had. >> As deeply into Death Note as I am, I can't relate to its characters personally. I suppose the one who's been on my mind all the time is Haru, and he's my own character, and even though my life has been nothing like his, I relate to him in a weird way I guess.

Have narrowed down my doll obsessing to
Richt (definitely pre-ordering; why is he so far in the future?? D:) and possibly also
Clarity. I just can't stop looking at those two. Even though Rida or one of the H. Naoto girls would mesh better stylistically with Haru, I just adore Clarity too much not to get her. I think she'll be Richt's big sister, and since Richt will be Haru's lover (that kid always goes for the platinum hair...), they'll be connected like that. I think she'd adore Haru while simultaneously trying to clean him up and straighten him out. :3 But I can't buy her yet! Richt comes out before Christmas, so he will be my Christmas gift; I'll trick my mom into giving me money for him retroactively. XD As for Clarity I'm so tempted because I could order her any time, so I promised myself I have to sell $100 worth of crap I don't need before I can buy her. Good plan, hm? So I need to get selling! Alas, most of the stuff I really want to sell is at my parents' house back in CA, so...I'll have to wait until Christmas anyway. Good to have lots of time to let the crazy obsession calm down. If I still madly want a Pullip then, I'll know I deserve her.
Also, on Thursday afternoon or Friday, I'm probably going to go to the animal shelter and pick out a kitty! :D I have to buy some stuff in the meantime so my apartment will be cat-ready when I bring him/her home. I've never been responsible for a pet on my own before, so I'm kind of nervous, but very, very excited!! <3333 I'll be sure to post an endless stream of photos. ^_^ I'm still liking the name Ryuuzaki, but it will ultimately be dependent on the cat's personality. I'll probably call it something totally different. CAT CAT CAT! I can't wait.
