Hello, one and all.
Had a nice weekend. Friday afternoon, Laura, James, Mom, and Dad stopped by to see the new apartment and to let me get one last visit in with Laura before she returned to the frozen north. Saturday Matt and I went antiquing- we're looking for a largish interesting metal object so that we can make artsy magnets and hang pictures of all of our favorite people in our living room. We didn't find said largish metal object, so we contented ourselves with coming home with a few records- The Judds, Dolly Parton, Jesus Christ Superstar (mine) and James Taylor (Matt's) and some coffee from an artsy fartsy coffee shop in the old part of town. We also went hiking on a landtrust trail just outside of town- beautiful overlook of the town, great woods, great ROCKS! The rocks were encrusted with crinoid stems. I've never lived somewhere with honest to goodness rocks before. It makes me happy. We also saw a few winter birds. Then last night I skunked Matt in cribbage. Today Matt worked and I crochetted, wrote thank you notes, baked cookies for Matt's parents, did some free-lance writing to get in a publishing frame of mind, worked on my cv, and watched "That Entertainment" a dvd that I got for Christmas that is clips from musicals. Now Matt's home and is entertaining our neighbors with my Christmas present for him- a harmonica.
Later.
