This is a message from the depths of my heart and chesterfield armchair:
THANK YOU all so much for all your wonderful cards, messages, e-cards, pictures, choccies, calls, text messages and all the other wonderful things; I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas/Yule/Hannukah/Other Time!
I sure had, which means that I did absolutely NOTHING, with exception of entertaining the cats, watching tv and movies, eating cookies and impersonating a vegetable while resting in the Yule-present I made myself (and the cats): a wonderfully ratty 1920ies Chesterfield armchair:
Of course, the very second I moved, the queen occupied the throne.
The only one who wasn't interested in the armchair was Alfie, but the very second I put a piece of cloth over it to protect it from Agatha's claws (wrong decade, sorry, style police), he fell in love with it. So he might know nothing about furniture, but he sure cares about graphic design. Fascinating!
I did drag my vegetably self out of the armchair today and out into the snow (snow! Real snow! Whee!) to go and see the Battle of the Five Armies (more about that one in five minutes), and the rest of the week, I will continue to impersonate a parsnip. Bliss!
