due to yet another wave of spam comments, i've turned the option for anonymous commenting on lj off for good. until now, i've just screened comments from people without a lj account, but after deleting yet again 7 spam comments, i'm fed up.

I keep getting spams (on posts/comments I made years ago on other rarely used comms) for viagara. Is it something about me?

Same thing here. Spam comments to several year old posts. Sometimes even under falsely assumed user names (meaning, in the notifications the names show up as the names of trusted friends, which of course don't have anything to do with this kind of crap)

do you have a rating on your lj? that "adult content" warning-thingy? becasue i think that's the filter spambots use. i don't have my lj rated, so i only get "general" spam. it's just a theory, though.
