October is the month when everything finally cools off enough to make outdoor events feasible. In the past two weekends, we've been to the GA Tech Maker Faire, Flux, Atlanta Streets Alive, Z's school picnic, and Pride. Coming up are the Brookhaven Arts Festival, three Halloween parades, trick-or-treating at Towne Brookhaven (the mixed-use development that sprang up a mile up the street from us), Z's school's fall festival, Dia de los Muertos at the Atlanta History Center, and of course trick-or-treating on Halloween. Not that we'll do all this stuff, but that's kind of the point--couldn't they spread this stuff out?? November is lonely!
Maker Faire: people making stuff! Usually with electronics! Z was in heaven.
Flux: a multi-media after-dark urban art event in a neighborhood in South Atlanta:
Pride pictures coming soon! We're having so much fun I can't keep up!
