Foods Z Will Eat

May 08, 2009 17:46

I have given up on jarred food completely. Aaron still has the patience for it, but I'm happier passing Z little chunks of grownup food.

So far, he's tried, and will usually eat:

Meats: ham, turkey, Canadian bacon
Vegetables: carrots, string beans, cucumber, edamame (a huge hit!), olives, red and yellow bell peppers (sometimes), avocado (sometimes), bean sprouts, cabbage, scallions, bok choi (he'll eat most random veggies out of a stir fry)
Fruits: clementines, apples, pears, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, mango
Dairy: string cheese, cheddar cheese, feta crumbles, hard boiled egg
Carbs: pasta, whole wheat bread, sticky Asian rice

And of course, Cheerios. He can eat endless Cheerios. We buy them at Costco. Aaron has a theory that babies have two stomachs: an everything else stomach, and a Cheerios stomach, which is twice the size of the baby. This explains why Z can eat twice his weight in Cheerios.
