Making risotto and all. Steam rice is the only way to make rice!
I swear I did this post before o.o.
It's rice.
Mushroom risotto goes together really well. I bought some porcini mushrooms that were dried so I soaked them in water first. Then the water will be flavored with really strong mushroom aroma.
Sweat the shallots. God that looks great! I love shallots, I love butter, and this is butter and shallots!
Brown some rice in the butter so it tastes "nutty", every one uses that term "nutty" for this...so I will be as well >.>...
Heat up some stock in another pan.
Slowly add ladles of stock in the rice. Stir constantly cause it soaks up a lot of stock at first. Keep doing this until the rice is al dente! A bit chewy still but not hard at all.
While that rice is cooking, I squeeze the water out of the mushrooms and then sautee them in more butter ^_^!
I add a bit of white wine cause white wine and mushrooms goes together like that *crosses fingers*! And add the mushrooms in the rice as well. It looks a bit creamy but I didn't even add the cream yet! It's just the starch thickening the stock.
